I’ve been thinking all day about what I was going to blog about. Since I grew up in a family that had a lot of military men in it, I find myself full of respect for the dedication that they had to their various branches of military.

I could wax on about all of the great films that have been made celebrating the men of the military, or I could rant and scream about the current administration and the policies that have put our men and women into danger. But, instead, I feel compelled just to say a simple thanks.

Thank you, men and women of the arms forces for your time and sacrifice. Thanks for traveling to places in the world that most of us can’t even pronounce let alone spell. Thanks for wearing boring clothes and answering questions with “yes, sir” and living in uncomfortable beds. Thanks for leaving your everyday jobs to carry a weapon and help little old ladies in other countries across the street. Thanks too, to your families for making due without you, to your wives, husbands, parents, employers, friends, children and loved ones for holding down the homefront while you are away. We are truly indebted to you for your time, service and courage. Thanks for all that you do.
