Bad Luck

Well I think I have bad luck. Yesterday I was trying to use one of my computers to power up a webcam to use on MSN. I opened a second camera screen and all of a sudden my 2 computer monitors started to do some weird funky colors – like lines all over  the screens. Then the computer turned itself off. I went to check the power supply. It felt over heated. I unplugged it then plugged it back in and turned things on – when sparks flew out at my hand! Thank goodness my face was not beside it. The whole computer blew. I tried a new power supply and re-installed it in a new box. When I tried to turn things on to see if my motherboard and other things could be saved – nope!!! – lost everything in my computer. It has so much of my stuff in it – gosh what a night. A similar thing happened about a year ago. Anyhow, a friend of mine is coming over tonight and we may play some video games and then watch a movie. THE ‘PROJECT BUFF’ DIET

‘Protein Loading’… After every workout I have a protein shake (I make sure to have it within 30 min of finishing, otherwise it’s not as effective). I make it with protein powder, yogurt, a banana, berries (whatevers in season – great antioxidants!), whole milk, and 1-2 eggs. Throughout the day, I also will have a couple of good ol’ pb&j sandwiches, in addition to my regular meals. Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches on whole wheat bread (read the label, wheat bread is NOT whole wheat – it’s enriched flour, you don’t want that) are a great way to have a complete protein snack without eating meat (in case anyone is a vegetarian). For those who might not know, when I was in college my studies were geared for a Dietition Major.  I learned a lot about this stuff, and at the time I was a vegetarian. I am not now, but I do not typically eat red meat – just chicken. Another great complete protein is a plate of whole beans and rice. All of this may sound uneccessary, but when you are trying to maintain or gain weight and have a very high metabolism like I do, it’s very neccessary – and it’s a lot cheaper and healthier than taking supplements or drugs. ‘FOOD’

Today was the first time me I have tried Ostrich meat – with some porto sauce. It was so tender. I think it’s almost better then filet mignon. At ‘Food’ they have all this new food to try. They added rabbit to the menu. I have tried rabbit before and I loved it Today I hung out with some friends and tonight I’m going to watch a movie and play the game ‘50 Cent’ on my XBox 360. GETTING TURKED

I have received alot of questions and mail about what I eat, and how I work out…so I figured there was enough interest to do a post about it… I have a strict diet of well, what Margaret Cho once called the “f*ck it” diet 🙂  Margaret Cho once went off about how many diets she had been on, and said that now she does the f*ck it diet.  Basically she said, she will see something she wants to eat and say “fuck that has to many calories” but then say “fuck it” and eat it anyway, lol.  (I couldn’t censor f*ck another time lol, we are all adults). I eat what I want for the most part – but I do stay away from anything to overly processed – like fast foods, packaged cookies and things etc. I always tell my friends when they eat an oreo (or anything with so many ridiculous ingredients that you can’t even read them cause the words are to long) –  “hope you enjoy your new belly” lol – I’m half kidding when I say it. My absolute favorite foods are a well cooked Rissotto, or anything with eggplant. My biggest pig out food is sourdough bread. There is a little pub in town that my friends and I always go to and it’s right next to a bakery. They bake the bread around 12 at night so we can always smell it from the pub. So on our way home we always have to get a fresh loaf – it’s so good fresh from the oven!  As if I need more carbs after all the beer I had at the pub lol   My workout routine is pretty simple. Twice a week I go running or hiking with a friend at about 7am. The rest of the week I lift weights, use resistance bands and of course my favorite for abs – the swiss ball !!!  There is so much you can do with it.  If you don’t have one you need to consider getting one.  It’s the most helpful and most inexpensive tool you can have.
