This week, two years ago, HotAndy and I were test posting – and making sure we were on the same page as far as committment and purpose. It sounds a bit high minded for a “Porn Site” lol, but that was the mission and with tons of little things getting in the way unexpectedly, we wondered if we would ever get to a point where we could deliver what we wanted to deliver. Not to get all nostalgic on you here lol, but one thing I have never forgotten, that I first heard so well put in those early planning talks, was that we would never think of comments and e-mails as just typing with a first name attached – that each one represented a real human being, having good days and bad days, hopes and dreams…and that for them to take time to comment or write was an honor. Oh and also, Andy said we should call such people something to build a sense of community. At first I was not thrilled with the choice because it sounded like it could be misunderstood…but I yielded and I’m glad I did. Because that’s how the term “Turkie” came to be lol The first post pictures…two years ago next week…do I look two years older now? Wiser? LOL Patrick, Dave, Mark, Jason, DeWayne, Chris and Jeremy were among the first commentors, with Patrick being #1 on Day 1 !!! SF Pride was fun as always – a lot more of my friends and Turkies came out this year – thanks for your support!!! And as always, it is great working with PornTeam. I wanna give a shout out to Nick Starr whom I ran into there, thanks again for all you’ve done to help HotAndy and I when we got on Tech trouble – great seeing you! And Desi as well (a photographer friend of mine). So the Backstreet Boys made a special appearance this year – but I missed their 2 song set cause I was trying to get through the crowd lol. But really, 2 songs! That’s it guys? Only a couple of pictures this time, that’s how busy every minute was. One is of me and my good friend and classmate who I have nicknamed ‘lil saurus’ in the first picture with me – and a hot couple in the surrounding me in the other picture. The crowd was saying the guy on my left (in the picture) and I looked alike to which I said, and I quote …” I sure hope so cause DANG! He’s freaking HOT!” Don’t forget that this week’s LIVE CAM AND CHAT GIVEAWAY is Wednesday – and that also an extra FREE MEMBERSHIP will be announced on Wednesday, also randomly chosen from all the entries this month. This will close a very successful JUNE TURKATHON, just in time for JULY HEAT

SUNDAY, JUNE 27 The day kicks off with the parade , with the Dykes on Bikes revving their engines and rolling out from Market and Beale at 10:30 a.m., followed quickly by the slightly quieter, more eco-friendly Mikes on Bikes. Celebrity Grand Marshals this year include novelist Alice Walker, who’ll be near the front, the Backstreet Boys, DADT activist Zoe Dunning, and Andy Bell from Erasure. Celebrity guests this year include Rupaul’s Drag Race breakout star Ongina, trans actress/activist Calpernia Adams, and Noah’s Arc star Darryl Stephens. By 1:30 or 2 the parade will wind down, and everyone who isn’t crowd-phobic will wind up in Civic Center , where there’ll be various stages playing a variety of music. The main stage will feature Nancy Pelosi at 2:55, the Backstreet Boys will do a 20-minute set at 4:05, and Andy Bell goes on at 4:45. To satisfy the many tastes of the LGBTQs, there’ll be multiple stages and venues for different communities, including Swing Block hosted by Queer Jitterbugs, Leather Alley, and the Community Dance Stage hosted by BeatBox Events, featuring DJs Jim Hopkins, David Harness, and a performance by Brazilian electro diva Bella of The Fire and Reason.
